Entrepreneur Ted Colthorp is trying to turn the historic Horner Mill Commerce Park in Eaton Rapids into a place where entrepreneurs can go to start their businesses and fuel the economy.
So far, Colthorp has attracted roughly 20 different tenants including a photographer and boxer. Because Eaton Rapids has been nominated for the national registration of historic places, a commercial developer willing to take on the project could take advantage of a 20 percent tax credit.
Michigan NOW’s Chris McCarus has the story.
This radio program also can be heard on public radio stations across the state, including WDET 101.9 FM in Detroit. It is sponsored in part by Capital Gains and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority(MSHDA).
