Capital Gains Radio: Capital Region Recycles 100,000 Pounds of Technology

More than 1,000 people lined the streets the weekend of Saturday, Feb. 7 to get the opportunity to recycle thousands of pounds of old technology.

People from Dimondale to Eaton Rapids to Lansing waited for hours at the Ingham County Road Commission to recycle their TVs, computers and cell phones. By the end of the day, they dropped off more than 100,000 thousand pounds of used goods.

Michigan NOW’s Chris McCarus has the story.

This radio program also can be heard on public radio stations across the state, including WDET 101.9 FM in Detroit. It is sponsored in part by Capital Gains and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA).
