PS Food Marts have become a familiar sight in many small cities across Michigan. The Homer-based business has been operating for 90 years now owns and operates 31 convenient stores in southern Michigan and northern Ohio. Their newest location is the PS Food Mart and Citgo Gas station in
Williamston.
"Williamston was a good fit for us," says Vice President with PS Food Mart Jim Linton. "We like to be a local, small town favorite." PS Food Mart purchased the 2,100 square foot building on East Grand River in late 2010 and worked throughout the winter months on renovations. The business officially opened in May and employs five local workers.
Renovations to the property included new fuel dispensers, a new concrete lot and a digital price sign.
According to Linton, the Williamston community has received the new store well.
"We take great pride in providing superb customer service as well a rewarding work environment for our employees," says Linton. "Through our PS Food Mart Charities, we look forward to supporting the Williamston Food Bank and help fight local hunger."
PS Food Mart celebrated their opening with a ribbon cutting with the
Williamston Chamber of Commerce on July 14.
