Practical Political Consulting (PPC) has been slowly rebranding over the past few years, and now the changes to the 35-year-old firm are more visible than ever. Early last month, PPC moved from their longtime East Lansing location into a new home in a historic
Old Town building.
"With this rebranding, we wanted to move into a new location," says Steve Ross, a consultant with PPC. "We wanted to own our own office, do our own landscaping and have unique look to it."
Once known primarily for their voter data and lists, PPC has now expanded into political consulting, polling and special projects. They've also gone high tech in their approach to serving their customer with VoteCast, PPC's online voter management program.
"Working with our developers, we created VoteCast to allow our clients to find and manipulate their data," says Ross. "We went through one major campaign cycle and it was very, very successful."
After searching for the right place to move for about six months, Ross says the 3,500 square foot historic home turned out to be just what the firm was looking for with unique, historic character, as well as belonging to the vibrant Old Town community.
PPC has steadily employed a staff of ten for some time, and the firm hires temporary workers on occasion to handle special projects.
