Saving money and time is only one part of what
Michigan First Credit Union hopes to offer residents of Okemos and the surrounding areas. And starting in June, that's exactly what they'll be doing at their newest branch. With 19 locations in and around metro Detroit and the Grand Rapids area, this will be the capital city's first Michigan First branch, and they're very excited about it.
Patricia Marion, Michigan First's Marketing Generalist says the credit union is looking forward to making a difference in the community. "Our hope is to positively impact members’ lives by providing products and services that'll save them money and time." And if you're wondering what services that includes, Marion is only too happy to tell you about it.
"We offer financial services for every life stage, including checking and savings accounts; competitive loan rates; home loans, insurance, and mobile banking with remote check deposit. We also have a 365 Live Call Center, and local representatives are available 24/7, 365 days a year to help our members. We really want to be accessible, because life is 24 hours, so banking should be too!"
Another bonus for the community comes in the form of scholarships. One of the ways Michigan First supports the communities they serve, is through its
annual scholarship competition for high school and college students. Since the program’s inception, Michigan First has given away more than $1 million in scholarships to local students.
Interested in working at a credit union close to home? According to Marion, Michigan First is still hiring for their newest branch, and they're looking forward to working with the local community. Job postings can be found at
