The Green Acres of Mason assisted living facility has only been open for two years, and it is already time to expand. The business will soon double it's size, staff and capacity with a new 16,000 square foot building.
"We have quite a waiting list," says Green Acres of
Mason Administrator Perri Rendon. "I have 24 people on our waiting list. There was quite a need in the community."
The facility now houses 20 residents and will be able to house 40 once the new building is completed in December. Rendon plans to at least double her current staff of 22 when the new residents arrive.
According to Renon, the popularity of Green Acres is due both to demand and the business' advantage of offering long-term care for their residents.
"We do all care all the way up through hospice," she says. "We have residents who are independent, some in semi-assisted living, and there is not reason for them to have to move."
The facility also offers residents a salon and spa room.
"We do amazing care," says Rendon. "I have wonderful staff and we have wonderful residents. We are blessed all the way around."
