Thelen Free Art Fridays debuted in June at Studio 23, 901 N. Water St. You're invited to visit the studio on Fridays to participate in free workshops, visit with artists creating and talking about their work, and enjoy time creating artwork inside the Studio 23 art lab.
As part of Thelen Free Art Fridays, the Studio 23 art lab is open from 3 to 5 p.m. on Fridays through Aug. 23.
The free Friday workshops include:
- June 21: Cat on a Windowsill Painting with Kaylyn Inda (noon to 2 p.m.)
- June 28: Calligraphy with Angela Griebe (noon to 2 p.m.)
- July 5: Galaxy Sensory Jars with Misty Coss (noon to 2 p.m.)
- July 12: Lighthouse Woodburning with Julie Tyslicky (noon to 2 p.m.)
- July 19: Bug Polymer Clay with Allise Noble (6 to 9 p.m.)
- July 26: Chalk Drawing with Kaylyn Inda (noon to 2 p.m.)
- Aug. 2: Build a Gnome House with Faith Nesbitt (noon to 2 p.m.)
- Aug. 9: Printmaking for Adults with Jason Nuttall (noon to 2 p.m.)
- Aug. 16: Colored Pencil with Julie Tyslicky (noon to 2 p.m.)
- Aug. 23: Printmaking for Youth and Teens with Jason Nuttall (noon to 2 p.m.)
