When it comes to fun in Battle Creek the B.C.M.A.M.S. know how to make it happen. Their 2014 Festivus Build Your Own Cardboard Sled Race at Leila Arboretum in Battle Creek proved once again that there are amazing things to do in the city even in the winter. In this, the sixth year for the D.I.Y. cardboard sled race nearly 100 handmade sleds competed for various recognition and prizes. More than 200 people braved the weather and came to cheer on the racers. A chili cook off and an Ugliest Sweater Contest were all part of the day.
