Artists work together to create piece connected to ArtPrize

Douglas economic development director Ryan Kilpatrick was thinking, “How can we use ArtPrize to showcase the 23 galleries and bevy of artists in Saugatuck and Douglas, which are just 40 minutes from Grand Rapids?” the Allegan County News reports.

“ArtPrize draws 500,000 visitors who are interested in art,” says Kilpatrick. “Here we are–one of the top five art destinations for small American cities–just a short drive down the highway.”

That was the genesis for “Re-View” a work that has united local artists, businesses and other groups.
