Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Two Battle Creek hospitals have been recognized by Hospitals & Health Magazine as among the nation’s 100 most wired hospitals.

Battle Creek Health Systems and VA Medical Center each made the list.

The list measures a commitment to chief information officer oversight, transparency of the analytics and recognition based on an organization’s level of achievement in business and administrative management, clinical quality and safety, care continuum and infrastructure.

Excerpt:

The goal of the survey continues to be to benchmark hospital progress with information technology. It began more than a decade ago and was the first attempt to create a snapshot of the use of IT in U.S. hospitals. Other organizations have since begun to measure specific uses, such as the electronic health records; none of them attempt as broad a look at the depth and breadth of adoption, implementation and use of IT.
