Whirlpool recognized by Diversity Employers Magazine

Whirlpool Corporation has been named one of Diversity Employers Magazine’s Top 100 Employers for the Class of 2011. Whirlpool ranked No. 76 on the list.

The magazine reports the ranking is based upon the information more than 120 companies provided on their projected entry-level hires, campus recruitment activity, and the majors they plan to recruit for.  

The related story says that while the job market continues to be bleak, there is  a “spark of hope that a more resilient labor market is in the offing.”

And indeed, these projections were borne out by the results of our own Top 100 Employers Survey, which employers projecting a greater number of jobs out there for the class of 2011, especially at the bachelor’s hiring level.
