It definitely is not Hollywood East, but Kalamazoo does have its own filmmaking scene--a small but passionate bunch of actors and behind-the-camera types. Bannon Backhus is the most recent of the group to step up the challenge. He tells Kathy Jennings about the making of Abduction Day.

Rogue Gallery creates space so more artists can be seen

When someone says: "Don't go rogue on us," what's the first thing you do? Go rogue, right? These guys did and the result is a new home for sculpture, oil paintings, watercolors, acrylics and much more at Rogue Gallery. Nick Jakubiak and Steve Vaught created the gallery to help artists and downtown Battle Creek. Jane Parikh has the story.
