The College of Education and Human Development and the Department of Sociology on the campus of Western Michigan University have a new home and the university showed it off to the public recently. The new Sangren Hall is a 230,000-square-foot, four-story, sustainably designed instructional facility. The $60 million building features 50 classrooms with 2,435 instructional seats, about 30 percent more than the old Sangren. It also has an education library, a large grants- and research center as well as office and clinical space for several programs. It’s also designed with LEED contruction standards in mind.
