PNC Foundation gives to Gilmore Car Museum education programs

Gilmore Car Museum not only displays cars, but is teaching youngsters about manufacturing and fundamental educational skills needed to succeed in school and work through its early education and interactive displays, reports MLive.

The offerings at the car museum recently got the support of PNC Foundation, which is making a $200,000 four-year grant to the “Inspire Someone” capital fundraising campaign.

Excerpt:

The instructional programs dedicated to early childhood education activities will include “Tool Station,” “Discovery Travel” and “Tin Lizzie Hunt.”

Ten interactive displays that simulate topics such as dashboards and solar car technology will be designed to explore subjects related to science, art, and auto technology.
