Intergenerational programs bring younger and older Michiganders together to promote healthier aging

With funding from the Michigan Health Endowment Fund, the national nonprofit Generations United is bringing generations together to build communities that work better for all.

Over $10 million in rent and utility assistance goes to 4 percent of Calhoun County since March 2021

Calhoun County residents who need assistance with paying their rent or utilities are being encouraged to apply before a portal established for emergency rental and utility assistance closes in May.

Kalamazoo County Board OKs another $2.6 million to build, renovate, support 11 more housing projects

Efforts to provide more needed housing in Kalamazoo County continue as members of the Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners recently approved a total of $2.6 million in funding to support planned residential projects. When completed the projects approved should add about 115 new housing units, and another 30 existing properties would be rehabilitated.
