Newell Rubbermaid creates Reading Oasis at Lincoln International Studies School

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Each student at Lincoln International School of Kalamazoo Public Schools got the opportunity to choose five books Oct. 28 from a Reading Oasis created by Newell Rubbermaid. The company opened its design center in Kalamazoo in the spring of 2014. The day of working in the school is in keeping with the company’s philosophy that when young people have access to the tools to succeed in school and in life, individual and community success follows. Newell Rubbermaid provided the people power to create the reading center and Scholastic provided the books. Second Wave photographer Susan Andress captured the event.
