Royal Oak's Skidmore Studios made a big name for themselves at this
year's Creativity International Awards for four of their design and
illustration projects, many created for local companies.
Illustration
work for Gleaner's Community Food Bank, advertising agency Team Detroit
and the International Association for Business Communicators'
Communication World magazine were all recognized by the competition's
judges. Skidmore also received accolades for a brochure the team
developed for national firm Telemus Capital.
Skidmore is the only
studio in the country that staffs graphic designers, storyboard
artists, motion graphic artists, writers and marketing pros. They've
worked with print, video and interactive media since 1959.
"At
this level of global competition, being recognized for illustration and
design is a tremendous accomplishment and a reflection of the talented
artists here at our studio," said Skidmore Studio President Tim Smith.
"We’re one of the few shops in the country that offers incredibly
talented illustrators, designers and thinkers."
