Nationwide shortages are expected to balloon to 62,900 doctors in five years and 91,500 by 2020, per the Association of American Medical Colleges’ workforce projections, the Battle Creek Enquirer reports. With WMU’s new medical school coming to the region, Battle Creek and Calhoun County are poised to benefit from a close working relationship.
