Jimmy John’s goes up in Battle Creek

Battle Creek diners who have been eagerly anticipating a Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwich shop of their own don’t have too much longer to wait.

The Battle Creek Enquirer reports the franchise sandwich shop is expected to open by early November.

Excerpt:

The shop will encompass about 2,000 square feet in the former Pella Windows and Doors store at 5568 Beckley Rd. Fans of the restaurant’s fresh bread, baked in-house daily, have been champing at the bit to know when the store would open. That’s because (the new owner) accidentally posted the Jimmy John’s store sign several months before he was finally able to line up construction.
