A burst of economic development is taking place in downtown Hartford, the Herald-Palladium reports.

“It looks like things are picking up,” City Manager Yemi Akinwale says.

A new coin-operated laundry will open soon on Main Street, and the Transylvanian Wolves Restaurant opened last week on Main Street, City Manager Yemi Akinwale said.

Also, the Dollar General store on Main Street is expanding, moving into the vacant, former Movie Gallery video store, Akinwale said.
