Newmind Group wants to share what it knows

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

What do you do when you are known across the nation but not known as well in your own backyard? Invite people to an IT Innovation Happy Hour.

That’s the answer for Newmind Group, a local IT services provider who serves more than 800 clients across the United States and has offices in Charleston, Minneapolis and Silicon Valley.

The company, which has grown to 15 employees since getting its start in 2003, including two added this year, assists information technology and business leaders across the country with IT solutions that the company says provide dramatic savings and productivity improvements. Its specialty is moving older IT systems to cloud based systems hosted by Google, Amazon, and Rackspace.

Newmind has a handful of local clients but says it is relatively unknown in Southwest Michigan. The happy hour is intended to be an event to introduce solutions to area businesses in a casual setting.

The event will feature a brief presentation by Daniel Jefferies Newmind Group’s Founder and Ryan Russey IT Managed Services Manager, a panel of clients to talk about the Newmind services that have helped their companies and a question and answer period, plus the usual happy hour mingling.

The event on Oct. 9 at Webster’s Prime Steakhouse is free, but seating is limited. Tickets can be reserved here or by calling Newmind at 269-492-0469.

“We love our local community here in Kalamazoo” says Daniel Jefferies, Newmind Group’s Founder. “Until now we haven’t been very good neighbors as far as bringing our innovative and cost saving approaches to local organizations. This Happy Hour event is our way of inviting people out to meet us and see what we are about.”
