Newsweek recognizes Whirlpool in its green rankings

For the second straight year, Whirlpool Corp. has been named to Newsweek’s annual Green Rankings.

Whirlpool came in at 116 on the list, scoring 77.41 of 100 possible points in the consumer products category.

Newsweek’s 2010 Green Rankings is a data-driven assessment of the largest companies in the U.S. and in the world. Our goal was to cut through the green chatter and quantify the actual environmental footprints, policies, and reputations of these big businesses.
