Creative ways to celebrate the season even when people are advised not to gather can be seen all across town. King-Westwood Elementary School, 1100 Nichols Road, held a Winter Wonderland Drive-Thru Parade for its students and families Thursday, Dec. 10.

The event included life-size holiday cards created by the King-Westwood staff and a visit from Santa Claus. Families were being encouraged to decorate their vehicles with a winter or holiday theme for a chance to win a prize. They drove through the parking lot on the east end of the school and then go through the bus loop at the front of the building, where they were greeted by staff and view the staff holiday cards. Dwight Quinn Jr. is the principal of King-Westwood Elementary.
