German companies scouting locations in Southwest Michigan

Economic development leaders in Southwest Michigan are looking to Germany for the future.

The Kalamazoo Gazette reports German companies are showing interest in doing business here and Ron Kitchens, president and CEO of regional economic development organization Southwest Michigan First, says five or six are looking for locations in the region right now.

“Their economy is at a 20-year high,” Kitchens said. “I think we’re going to see more and more interest from Germany, doing business with our companies.”
