Borgess Orthopedics adds two doctors

Two surgeons, one who brings additional trauma services and a second who contributes further hand surgery expertise to the Borgess Bone & Joint Institute have joined Borgess Orthopedics.

Cameron Vanlaningham, MD, and Larry Walton, MD, are now part of Borgess Orthopedics (formerly Kalamazoo Orthopedic Clinic), part of the Borgess Bone & Joint Institute.

Vanlaningham will deliver orthopedic trauma services and Walton will provide hand surgery to the community.

Vanlaningham earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He also completed his orthopedic surgery residency at MSU/KCMS, where he was chief resident from 2010 to 2011. Vanlaningham also finished a fellowship in orthopedic trauma at the University of Louisville.

Walton earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Southwestern Michigan Area Health Education Center (SMAHEC), and finished a fellowship in hand surgery at the University of Louisville. Dr. Walton was a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force and holds an active membership in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
