The Michigan Maritime Museum in South Haven is offering basic seamanship classes to those interested in learning how to sail the museum’s traditionally rigged sailing vessel Friends Good Will.

Student sailors will learn the history of the original Friends Good Will, basic terminology, safety procedures and sailing maneuvers while experiencing the adventure of sailing a tall ship.

Students who complete the classes will then be eligible to volunteer aboard the Friends Good Will this summer.
