Video: Country’s best gymnasts compete in Battle Creek
Battle Creek recently hosted some of the best young gynmasts in the nation. Second Wave's Erik Holladay was there to capture the event with his camera.
Battle Creek and Branch Gymnastics recently hosted the 2013 Women’s Junior Olympic Level 9 Eastern Championships. Nearly 400 of the best Level 9 gymnasts east of the Mississippi competed at Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek. The competition featured those from 16 age divisions — Junior 1-8 and Senior 1-8. The three days of competition will determined the all-around, individual event and team champions for each of the 16 age groups. Many Junior Olympic champions have gone on to make the U.S. National Team and represent the United States in international competition and compete in collegiate gymnastics or both.
