Battle Creek native to release debut album

A Battle Creek native and longtime Kalamazoo musician Frankie Ballard will release his Warner Bros. debut album May 24, reports the Kalamazoo Gazette.

Ballard, 28, is a former Western Michigan University baseball player. He signed with Warner Bros. and moved to Nashville in 2009.

The self-titled album was produced by Michael Knox, who has worked with Jason Aldean, and will feature eight tracks, including Ballard’s previously released singles “Tell Me You Get Lonely” and “A Buncha Girls.”
