Duchess dines in downtown Kalamazoo

What was Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, like when she turned up for a meal in at Rustica in downtown Kalamazoo?

The Kalamazoo Gazette reports she stood in line like everyone else and Saad Mandwee, co-owner of the restaurant, said she was friendly, not fussy.

Excerpt:

“It was kind of like a dream,” Mandwee said. “It was so fast, I did not know what to do, but it was important that they had privacy. It was fun to have her.”

Ferguson selected the restaurant’s grilled ribeye steak for her meal, along with a grilled Romaine salad with Caesar dressing, according to the server who took care of her, Megan Walters.
