An International Flavor
Early season rankings are in for International Softball Congress and they have the #1 ranked team, #3, #4, #8, and #15 coming this weekend and playing at Pine Grove Park. Players coming into town are from Australia, Canada, Argentina, Venezuela, and New Zealand.
"Blue Water Fast Pitch is a really unique opportunity to experience some of the best international fastpitch
softball teams in the world with 4 out of the top 15 ranked international teams represented," says Event Director Kurt Schieman. "I would encourage everyone to sit behind home plate to see how insane these pitchers really are."
Why It Matters
"The tournament has a big economic impact in our community," says Port Huron's City Manager James Freed. "The players, families, and fans fill our hotels and restaurants. It's a real jolt in the arm for small businesses."
