Greater Midland Community Center celebrates with community event and giveaways

The Greater Midland Community Center is pleased to share that the parking lot will officially be opened on Nov. 14, marking a significant achievement in their mission to create a new and revitalized Community Center.

"This milestone is a significant step toward giving you the full Center experience, and we could not have done it without the overwhelming support, patience, and enthusiasm from our members, guests, neighbors, donors, and the community at large," says Terri Johnson, President and CEO of Greater Midland.

"Your trust in us throughout this process has been incredible, and we want to extend our deepest appreciation to each of you. You have been the heart of this transformation, and we are honored to have had you by our side."

Executive Director Andrea Secrease emphasized the Center's commitment to the community. “We have been working tirelessly to create a space that reflects the liveliness and vitality of our community,” Secrease says. “Our members and guests are the center of everything we do, and this new chapter is for all of you. Your patience and encouragement have been an inspiration throughout this journey.”

The Center is celebrating this milestone with a community event on Sunday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., featuring membership giveaways to thank supporters. The first 50 people to sign up for a new membership will receive a tailgate blanket, perfect for the upcoming chilly season.

Each membership purchased on Nov. 17 will be entered into a drawing for one of four grand prizes: Michigan State University football tickets, a Yeti cooler, Spirit Hockey tickets, and gift basket, or two tickets to the Dec. 5 Detroit Lions home game against the Green Bay Packers. Current members can enter the drawing by referring a friend.

“We’re excited to celebrate the opening of the parking lot with a special giveaway for our members! Join us to see what’s new at the Community Center and enjoy the chance to win some amazing prizes. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!” said Cally Taylor, Director of Member Experience.

The Greater Midland Community Center continues to work toward its vision of a space that fosters connection, happiness, and belonging for everyone who walks through its doors.
