Sometimes it's okay to be a Jack-Of-All-Trades and master of none. Chic Cafe Zola occassionally achieves greatness but mostly earns kudos for being consistently good. Breakfast? Fluffy and delectable omelets, charming crepes. Lunch? Tasty and original sandwiches and salads. Dinners? Simple and smart. Get the point? If you're from northern California, you'll feel right at home. J'accuse the Zola bartenders of doing classic cocktails right, the clientèle of being attractive and the kitchen tangents of knocking your socks off. The Turkish egg breakfast, whole fish specials and shrimp batu are worth digging into your wallet for. Presentation is always solid and the coffee and tea come French press. The restaurant is casual and comfortable but does suffer from the Ann Arbor echo chamber effect. I said, THE RESTAURANT IS CASUAL AND.... 'nuff said. Go. Eat. Be happy.
